Short Project Description: The Secretary of the Commonwealth (SEC) is the principal public information officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This includes processing credit card and electronic fund transfers for filings, orders, and services made online or by fax for an expedited service fee, with service fees covering the cost of the transaction and personnel. IT Personnel supplied will support client front end (web) systems tracking corporation registration and compliance.

Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide daily support to existing web applications.
Participate in the full life cycle of development (define, develop, test, install, and maintain) of
existing applications as well as new initiatives.
The Web Developer must be able to manage development activities from the planning phase through the implementation phase. He or she will interface with other team members, management, and end-users on a regular basis.
This position is required full-time on-site at client in downtown Boston, MA.
HP will provide a laptop/desktop computer for these resources to be used for this project.
Required Skills (Must Have) (provide specific details around tools, client environment, certifications needed, etc):
Minimum of two years actual experience in the following areas is required:
v Visual Studio 6.0 (desktop, COM)
v Visual Studio 2003, 2005, 2008 (ASP.Net, VB.Net or C#, Web Services, Java Script, AJAX and
v CSS)
v SQL Server 2005 developer level understanding
v SQL Server Management Studio 2005
v SQL Server Reporting Services 2005
v JQuery
v LINQ
v Application Modeling
v Highly self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Additional Skills that will be considered (only if Required Skills are met):
Experience in the following areas would be a Plus:
v Prior experience migrating from classic asp to asp.net
v Visual Studio 2010
v .Net Framework 4.0
v Visual SourceSafe 8.0
v SQL Server 2008
v XML Processing
v SMTP Interfaces
v Understanding of Networking
v Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS - Web Development)
