·         This is a Production Support Role for the Maintenance and Production support of applications developed using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix

·         Get good existing knowledge of functional application and support production support issues and then take responsibility and perform the cost analysis which would involve understanding the Oracle PL/SQL code or data issue. 

·         Excellent understanding of Oracle PL/SQL code

·         Willing to work in a fast paced environment

·         May need to work in the sense of monitoring the applications sometimes on weekends – must be willing to work if needed in that capacity

·         Number of years of experience 7yrs of

·         This is the main number of years in these 2 categories she is looking for:

·         7+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development

·         5+ years of experience in Unix shell script development

·         Perform root cause analysis of the issue.

·         Analyze the Oracle PL/SQL or UNIX code to pin-point the issue.

·         Analyze the data in the Oracle tables if the issue pertains to data.

·         Plan the steps for the fix, estimate the duration, communicate it to team lead, document the steps, and then start working on it right away Code, unit test, system test, and regression test the fix and then deploy it in UAT environment. Or create and test the SQL script to fix the data issue.

·         Support and assist business team with UAT of the fix.

·         Deploy the fix to production

·         Verify data/monitor batch jobs to make sure fix was successful
Fulfill ad-hoc requests for enrolling new customers, applying price changes, applying swap changes, and so on. This could involve writing a quick SQL script to apply the change or running an existing Oracle PL/SQL program unit.

·         Monitoring of the batch processes. Willingness to perform this off hours also during weekdays and weekends.

·         Trouble-shoot and address job failures as soon as possible. Work with ControlM off-shore group on re-run/re-start instructions of failed jobs. Willingness to perform this off hours during weekdays and weekends.
