• Proficient in analyzing/applying patches, cloning, and troubleshooting with the Oracle Application and Database
• Upgrade Oracle e-Business Suite from 11i to R12
o Providing DBA Support for R12 Development and Functional Team.
o R12 custom forms compilation and development support.
o R12 custom reports compilation and development support.
o R12 OA Frame work deployment.
o R12 Oracle SR Support for Teach Team and Functional team.
• Troubleshoot Oracle Application and Database problems
• Proficient in performance tuning of Oracle Applications and database
• Perform Backup/Restore functions for the Oracle Application and Database
• Carryout capacity planning and pro-active monitoring
• Oracle Applications DBA with 11.5.10+ experience on Unix
• Extensive experience in utilizing Oracle Utility tools like Toad, SQL*Loader, Import/Export, Data pumping, Data Guard and RAC
• Well versed with AIX systems and Unix shell scripting
• Good working knowledge of Linux environment.
• Oracle RAC experiences a must.
The Contractor shall perform the following support tasks:
• Analyze database requirements for OLTP and reporting and analysis applications.
• Make recommendations for, and implement, underlying storage structures.
• Make recommendations for, and implement, appropriate security structures.
• Develop and execute appropriate Data Definition Language (DDL) to support projects.
• Provide query performance monitoring and tuning recommendations.
• Perform data export and imports.
• Develop UNIX, Perl and other needed scripts to support applications and database administration functions.
• Review and approve all application based scripts, utilities, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Perform database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN utility.
• Provide input on instance parameter settings and tuning.
• Provide general database expertise to application projects.
• Lead and conduct technical reviews of physical database models.
• Participate as a subject matter and technical expert in technical reviews of physical database models.
• Create and provide design artifacts for technical reviews of physical database models.
• Prepare and update documents of database standards, user manual, procedures and processes, records, evaluations, schedule, project plans, reports, reviews, etc.
The contractor shall provide services for Oracle Databases, including (but not limited to): Oracle software installation, database creation and configuration, data object creation, database backup and restore, database clustering, data guard, database monitoring and performance tuning, data migration, software upgrading and patching, fulfill the requirements of government security and auditing, password changes (e.g. FISMA, Security Test Evaluation, etc.), Oracle tools (such Oracle Spatial, Oracle Restore Manager, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Media, Real Application Cluster (RAC), DataGuard, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Identity Manager(OIM), etc.) and data loading.
