Job Responsibilities: 

           

Seeking a Java UI Developer to join our team.
The developer is proficient in designing, developing, and unit testing HTML5 web applications.
This person must have experience with object-oriented development patterns and techniques using Java/JavaScript technologies to implement complex enterprise systems. The developer must have knowledge necessary to formulate the design and execute on development and testing of web services, and have an understanding of configuration and deployment of web services.
3+ years Java/JavaScript development in complex, enterprise system environment.
Expert understanding of Java and JavaScript development patterns and practices.
Some understanding of core application development frameworks and Java/JEE

Technologies: Spring Framework (core), Hibernate, Spring MVC and Spring WebFlow, JMS, JDBC, XML, APIs, Junit, Ant, JAX-WS or JAX-RPC. Solid understanding of Integration/Web Services (SOAP, REST) Some exposure or interest w/ NoSQL (MongoDB) Ability to learn and be trained 
Develops, codes, test, and debugs new web applications of enhancements to existing web applications.
Responsible for retrieval of data from existing systems, and automation of retrieval methods.
Responsible for support and maintenance of web based applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Has good understanding of business application.
2. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
3. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
4. Assists in development of software user manuals.
5. Demonstrates software.
6. Assists in the development of assignments and schedules.

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field and two to four years of experience or a Master's degree preferred and up to two years experience. Outstanding customer service skills. Strong organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize projects. Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation. Development skills in hand-coded JavaScript required. Skill in web services preferred.
