Linux Administrator

Linux administration/installation/standardization, Java code deployments, batch scripting, LDAP and security administration, network and load balancer troubleshooting, JBOSS monitoring and configuration, log analysis and monitoring, storage and file space management, VMWare

Requirements:

1. Strong network and server troubleshooting skills in a mixed technology environment
2. Quality conscious with the ability to plan and implement on time
3. Strong communication abilities and ability to work in a team environment
4. Strong operational\break-fix experience
5. Exim\Postfix SMTP gateways
6. BIND DNS
7. OpenDS or OpenLDAP
8. Solr\Lucene
9. JBOSS\Middleware (backup for Chris)
10. Experience with VMware
11. Command line scripting (Perl/Shell)
12. Amazon AWS\EC2 or Azure - preferred

Must Have Requirements:

1. Linux expertise (CentOS and RedHat preferred) – 7 + years
2. Java application deployment with JBOSS support and configuration expertise
3. High knowledge of networking routing, load balancing and firewalls
4. Strong VM based management and storage experience
5. Scripting and monitoring experience in a Linux environment

Additional Soft Skills Needed:

6. Strong communication (verbal and written). With the ability to document technology processes
7. Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate closely with team developers and corporate resources
8. Ability to redirect priorities if needed and articulate implementation plans when needed
