Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Deliver quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Execute formal testing of applications to ensure timely delivery, quality, and satisfaction of customer requirements. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of structured testing methodologies and processes in a mainframe and object oriented environment. Develop test scripts and test data to determine compliance with business requirements. Lead overall testing efforts to control the test environments. Execute test plans. Address issues with the programmer and team leads to ensure satisfaction of the end user / customer and satisfaction. Escalate issues to the QA manager or PM if necessary. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 3 years of IT work experience. Testing background and familiarity with test tools (i.e., TSO, File-Aid, capture/playback, HP)

 

Test Plans, Test Cases / Scripts, Test Execution, Test Results reports (following standard BCBSA processes and tools)

 

Strong experience in ETL testing with Datastage, validation of DB2 and Vertica databases using SQL queries, Control-M job scheduler
