Senior Network Architect / Design Engineer

Role Description:

 

• Senior Network Design Engineer provides development and refreshing the technology roadmap; new product designs, as wells creating and providing design and standards blueprints to the Implementation team. This role also executes first-run deployments of new technology products and solutions

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Engineering Design
• Service Catalog Design
• Product Builds
• Product Blueprints
• Deployment Standards
• Project-specific non-standard design
• Incident Resolution and Management
• Liaise with Regional Operations team
• Provide 3^rd level Incident Support
• Post Incident and Problem Management
• Liaise with Regional Operations team to provide root cause analysis
• Provide timely incident reporting to Operational Governance and Senior Management Teams

 

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• 7-10 years experience in financial services, CCIE, routing switching expert, strong knowledge of multicast is a must, Cisco routing/switching, Juniper/Palo Alto FW, F5 GTM/LTM Aruba
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and tunneling including bit not limited to EIGRP, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, GRE, IPSec, OSPF.
• Knowledge of Spanning Tree and Multicast networks, including market data distribution networks.
• Strong working knowledge of various diagnostic tools including packet analyzers and distributed probes.
• Problem-solving skills with an emphasis on resolution of complex technical problems and demonstrated comprehension of integrated Cisco enterprise level architecture and design principles
• Familiarity with application load balancers, DNS, DHCP, Windows and Unix operating systems, security architecture including firewalls and proxies
• Strong leadership skills with ability to focus and perform in time-sensitive high-pressure environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills as well as attention to details
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering highly desirable.
