Job Title: Sr QA Tester
Start Date: 9/17/2012
End Date: 9/30/2013
Location: Helena, MT

Soft Skills:

·         Self-Directed and Self-Motivated

·         Quick Leaner and Good team interaction skills

·         Ability to think innovatively and provide solutions for testing in complex situations

·         Good English Communication

·         Client facing & Consulting

 

Technical Skills:

·         Good Exposure to DW testing environment

·         Excellent knowledge in SQL Queries

o   Queries to validate the source and target data

o   Queries to validate the Extract, transformation and Loading of Source data to target.

o   Queries to build test status reports, dash board reports

o   Queries to validate the testing requirements

o   Abilities in validating the target database data structures for the reporting needs

·         Good knowledge of C# Programming

·         Good Exposure to Testing Life Cycle & Defect Life Cycle management processes

·         Good working knowledge of QC

 

Environment:

·         Requirement Documentation: Requirement specifications available

·         Prototype Database: MS Access

·         Target database: SQL Server 2008 SQL Server 2008 (SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012)

·         Test Management and Automation: QC, MS-TFS

·         Programing language: C#

·         ETL Tool: Data Stage (for testing the ETL process, SQL queries to be used no Data Stage experience needed)

·         DW Testing processes in place – (Developed by HP Test Lead Consultant)

 

Nice to have skill sets: Knowledge in Test automation using TFS

·         Ability to integrate TSF track test cases with the new one's

·         Ability to maintain the traceability from TFS based development to data flow validation requirements to test cases to execution results and defects if any

·         Provide progress reports on testing, extracting data from various sources like QC, TFS etc.
