Baltimore, Maryland

Contract 

 

One of our customers, one of the largest employers in the state of Maryland, has multiple openings for Sr. Programmer/Analysts (1 contract, 2 permanent). The responsibilities for this position include the design, development, implementation, and support of the healthcare interfaces across the Enterprise. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the following technologies:

 

• Experience working with HL7

• Strong experience in Healthcare environment

• Experience in UNIX/Windows environment

• C programming or other structured programming language experience

• Must have strong understanding of and experience with the full software development lifecycle.

• Must have experience writing functional and technical specifications.

 

The HDMI environment is fast-paced, technically demanding, and will require special skills, including:

• Adaptability to new tools and techniques

• Ability to perform balanced critiques of design features and options

• Demonstrated ability to quickly create working prototypes and work with stakeholders and colleagues to rapidly adapt a design to meet customer needs

• Team player, someone who works well with others and alone on specific projects.

 

Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience: Exposure to implementations from major Healthcare Information System vendors (Epic, Cerner, McKesson, Sunrise, IDX, etc) is highly desirable. Exposure to interface engine technologies (Sybase IMPACT, Cloverleaf, eGate, JCAPS, Rhapsody, OpenLink, Biztalk, etc) is highly desirable.
