Position: Storage Area Networks Analyst

Job Location: Mahwah, NJ 07430

 

Explanation for Position:

The selected candidate will perform the basic servicing of user requests (Storage), perform necessary operational work (Prod Problem support, migration planning, etc.), and perform new duties of the team (SAN performance, New Reporting).

 

Details of Position:

This position is that of a lead capacity planner. Candidate will be responsible for working with application teams to determine storage needs over time, creating capacity planning information regarding their needs, working with storage admin team to provision storage, the area of focus is Enterprise SAN Storage. The ideal candidate would have excellent technical skills to perform analysis of performance problems involving SAN storage arrays. MASTERY of EMC's ECC toolset suites is a MUST. Candidates must have EXCELLENT written and verbal skills and must be adept at communicating complex technical problems to audiences both technical and nontechnical. Microsoft Office advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

 

Management Skills:

Ideal candidates have a good understanding of business components of managing a Enterprise SAN Storage environment. They can explain cost aspects of various technical solutions to end users. They work with other CPM Storage team members to prepare department and enterprise wide budgets and successfully manage to them. Candidates must be capable of presenting technical information to a audience of technical and non-technical members using materials generated in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, all materials generated must be HIGH quality and very professional looking.
