JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: IBM Websphere MQ Series Broker Developer 

Location: Chicago, IL

Mode of Hire: 6+ Months Contract

Client: Direct Client

Relevant Experience Required: Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 6- 8 Years 

 

Primary Skills:

Solid knowledge of Broker Development in IBM MQ, including the mappers, drivers, and Java compute nodes.

 

Description:

Experience Required

• At least 6 years of experience developing Brokers within the IBM Websphere MQ application.
• At least 4 years Java development experience as it relates to developing Java compute nodes with the IBM Websphere MQ application
• Must know how to install and configure local development environment, deploy code to local environment, and test messaging framework in local environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develops and maintains conceptual, logical, and physical ESB architecture. Ensures project adherence to company wide data and ESB Messaging standards and policies
2. Leads ESB design (physical & logical) and data model for enterprise initiatives, large projects, and high impact / high cost projects.
3. Provides extensive technical, strategic advice and guidance to senior managers and technical resources in the creation and implementation of new ESB flows or changes to existing ones
4. Collaborates with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish and implement strategic initiatives. Works with both technical and business stakeholders to understand the messaging needs for projects. Attends requirement sessions when necessary, communicating any concerns to project leadership.
5. Makes recommendations and assesses proposals for ESB Message layer optimization
6. Reviews and assesses proposals requesting changes or upgrades to the existing ESB architecture, flows, and compute nodes, and provides recommendations as appropriate.
7. Reviews project ESB Brokers to ensure that they are built in-line with the stated design
8. Translates complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and nontechnical management and resources staff onsite and offshore.
9. Performs design and code reviews with customer management.
10. Able to manage multiple streams of work coordinating with onsite and offshore teams to deliver complete SOA based messaging solution in highly distributed, complex, high availability environments.
