Location – Hoboken, NJ

No of Positions : 5 (Locals would be Highly preferred )

Interview : Telephonic and SKYPE

Immediate Position – WIPRO – APPLE .

Rate : $43/Hr only –No Neg – High rates are not being Considered .

 

SQL Server DBA Job Description:

 

At least 6-7 years of work experience in SQL 2005/2008- Administration, modeling and performance tuning

 

* Worked on SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008R2

 

*Should have strong Experience in installation of SQL Server in Standalone and In Cluster Servers, Patching them. Troubleshooting the SQL Server Setup Failure Issues.

 

*Worked on Database Mirroring, Transaction Logshipping, Database Snapshots, Transactional Replication.

 

* Worked on SQL Server 2005/2008 Clustering [Strong knowledge in SQL Server 2005/2008 Clustering environments Recommended] Should be good in troubleshooting Cluster Failover Issues and analyzing the log Files

 

* Woked on Performance issues [like High CPU, Memory, I/O Issues, Slow query performance issues Etc.,] Should have good knowledge and experience in troubleshooting Performance Issues and Preparing RCA's.

 

* Support Upgradation, patch application and stats pack generation. Should be good in maintaining databases by performing regular maintenance of the databases.

 

* Should have experience in activities like DR

 

* Should be part of a (24*7) team working in a shifts [US,UK,AUS]

 

* Able to create Project specific Documentation

 

* Timely updates of the Ticket Management system

 

* Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as a Insurance and Financial services

 

* Should have strong communication skills and experience in handling bridge calls

 

* Should have good understanding of SLA and ensure to deliver things at right time.

 

* Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (overseas user support is required)
