Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Duration: 4-6 weeks

 

Responsibilities

• Configuration of authentication, authorization, and directory services.
• Deals with patching systems where necessary as well as locking down systems so that only authorized personnel can access and use them.
• Troubleshoots network access problems and implements network security policies and procedures.
• A minimum of two years network infrastructure experience with advanced Cisco router/switch configuration
• Ensures network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
• Identify and evaluate implementations of specific and general security tools (SAP, Sharepoint, IDS, AV, etc.)

·         Monitor logs and network traffic for activity.

·         Maintain and test DR plan utilizing VMWare Site Recovery Manager.

·         Maintain backups utilizing DPM/Iron Mountain Live Vault/AT&T Synaptics storage.

·         Review, maintain, and test recovery of backups on a regular basis.

·         Assist Infrastructure team with the implementation and maintenance of Cisco network equipment.

·         Assist Infrastructure team with the implementation and maintenance of the VMWare Infrastructure, HP Blade Server farm and HP SANs.
