As a Senior Web Developer you would lead, manage, or assist in managing a dynamic team with a focus on writing code and developing applications leveraging multiple tools, languages, processes, and technologies. Positions in this function are accountable for building business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications across web and mobile digital domains. This position offers the opportunity to join an emerging department that is working to dramatically improve the healthcare digital experience. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and applications plan, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architectures and applications
Implement solutions that serve the enterprise mission of modernization and simplification
Develop Proof-of-Concept applications showing their applicability and educate these technologies to others
Develop high quality, test-driven consumer web and mobile applications
Collaborate with the team on code design and decision-making
Develop and test for cross-browser and mobile device compatibility
Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment
Mentor junior developers, providing assistance where needed
Handle smaller projects independently, including coordination with other teams and 3rd parties
Highly detail oriented and a great task master

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience
4 or more years in software development across responsive web and mobile web
3 or more years of experience using Ruby on Rails to develop web/mobile applications
3 or more years of relational database experience (MySQL)
1 or more years of design and development of Web portals/Web Services/Mobility applications
1 year Dynamic/interactive web UI development with heavy use of AJAX and HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML

Preferred Qualifications:


Experience in building member portals across mobile and web platforms
MongoDB / NoSQL experience 
1 year design and development of scalable N-Tier solutions
Strong software engineering skills including writing and consuming RESTful resources
Experience in Continuous Integration and Automated Testing Methods/Tools
Good understanding of cloud-based technologies
