Sr Software Developer
Location: SanJose, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Overview:
Developer will be responsible to design, code, test and sustain application handlers for an innovative top of the line data protection software.
The candidate will develop data protection handlers for SAP on Oracle and SAP HANA.
Over time the scope will increase to other applications as well.
For this developer will work together as part of a small international team.
Responsibilities:
• Design, code, test and sustain data protection application handlers in C/C++
• Work with other development and QA teams to ensure code is well-designed, well-architected and robust
• Help design and improve plugin infrastructure and API for data protection software
• Deliver proof of concept implementations
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, code comments and clear code
• Work in an international team
Technical Skills:
• Expertise in developing data management applications like Replication, Backup, Archiving etc.
• Detailed knowledge of SAP and SAP HANA backup interfaces (e.g. BACKINT)
• C/C++ Developer with 5-7 years' experience in object oriented software development
• Scripting experience with Python or Perl is required
• Java and C# knowledge is a plus
• Lability to set up HANA and Oracle databases for development and testing
• Experience in SAP Basis admin is a plus.
• Experience in API design
