 Job Title: Tableau Architect/ Developer

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Fort Worth, TX

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for providing Tableau technical direction and mentoring to Alcon staff. Other responsibilities include analysis of business and system requirements, development and implementation of Tableau software, modifications to existing platforms, participation in production support for assigned application systems, and documentation at every stage of the software development life cycle. The candidate will be required to design, develop, and implement software components. Job related experience of 10+ years with in-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing skills and 5+ years in Tableau.

 

Skills: 

Experience with Tableau architecture and development required.

Applicant will be create a Tableau architecture that will implemented and deployed as global solution. Must be able to create, modify and enhance tableau reports and dashboards.

 

Tableau Architect will apply his/her knowledge of Tableau architecture, along with their data modeling and database analysis skills to help Alcon build a Tableau Center of excellence. This information will be used throughout the organization to make both tactical and strategic business decisions on an ad-hoc and ongoing basis. This position works independently under supervision of the Tableau Solution Architect, and duties include but are not limited to:

Develops Tableau models, architectures, frameworks and strategies based on business requirements.

Develops technical solutions to support and streamline data reporting requests requiring integration of data from multiple systems.

Analyzes and trouble-shoots technical issues related to reporting.

Creates clear design concepts, and drafts technical design documents.

Provides team mentoring and cross-training.

 

Education:      

Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
