Client is looking for a PeopleSoft HCM/HRMS Business Analyst who is responsible for the operations and strategic direction of the PeopleSoft business applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for using expert knowledge of enterprise-wide application(s) to design system solutions and related business processes required to support the application for very complex issues and requirements , perform in-depth troubleshooting/analysis activities for very complex business and system related issues, provide resolution for more complex application issues and user questions, prepare documentation of business processes and administer training to business users, perform production system operation activities. Participate in a lead role on large projects and to review internal department processes in effort to help create operating efficiencies. Perform as the project coordinator on small to medium routine projects. Use customer support system to track and document application support issues/activities.
Major Responsibilities:
• Identifies and documents business, functional and system requirements.
• Assists in the design of system related enhancements, including the development of related standards and procedures.
• Tests or coordinates testing of system modifications.
• Executes routine production system processes.
• Provides customer support in the use of the application.
• Researches and analyzes system/user problems by applying a variety of analytical and research techniques.
• Provides resolution for application issues.
• Consults with vendors or technical staff to insure that functionality of automated system is consistent with adherence to laws, regulations, and best practice standards.
• Develops change management plans for transition to new or upgraded systems .
• Documents business processes for users of new or upgraded system.
• Participates in evaluation of new technologies or solutions to improve service and efficiency of systems.
• Delivers training for business users.
Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
• 2+ years of experience time and labor application experience in the areas of design/configuration, deployment, support and execution of system processes.
• 2+ years of human resources and payroll experience supporting the application in the areas of deployment, customer support and application maintenance and execution of system processes.
• Ability to write moderately complex Structured Query Language (SQL) queries.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Two years of experience supporting an ERP Solution environment (PeopleSoft version 9.0 and higher, etc.).
In addition, experience with the following is a plus:
• PeopleSoft Time and Labor
• PeopleSoft Absence Management
• Labor Distribution
• PeopleSoft HR and Payroll
• PeopleSoft Query
