For the below position, after the phone interview with the client the resource should take 2 tests online
1. Cognitive Test (12minutes)
2. Personality Test (around 30 min)
The client is looking for a Sr. Abinitio Developer to create ETL solutions within basic standards related to database design and ETL coding. A secondary purpose will be to function as a hands-on performer of data/ETL related tasks in more complex projects for Scrum teams outside the department.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-on projects - Participate in Scrum teams as needed to design, build, and implement ETL/data solutions (Ab Initio, Oracle, SQL Server,) and MDM solutions.
Collaboration - ETL/data development work must promote/leverage other enterprise functions or standards such, as infrastructure, production support, analytics, etc. This role will also provide feedback to centralized groups for ongoing improvements of company standards/guidelines.
* Performing analysis, design, development and implementation of new ETL
requirements and providing estimates to support timelines and deliverables.
* Deliver solutions that leverage automated testing and are
self-monitoring.
* Ownership in the delivery of solutions from development through
production.
* Providing accurate high level and detailed effort estimates, scope
programming efforts
* Discussion of design considerations with team members obtaining
complete knowledge of the physical database schema.
* Explaining constraints and design factors to non-technical audience.
* Performing in an agile environment, delivery of business functionality
every two weeks.
* Assisting other developers to expand their skills.
* Note: This position does not have traditional DBA administrative
responsibilities
Tech Skills/Experience
* 4+ yrs. working in data intensive roles in and outside of I.T.
* 2+ total years of Database/ETL Development experience (Ab Initio
required, AI +SSIS Preferred)
* 1+ yrs. working with high-availability systems
* Working within formal Agile development methodology
* Ab Initio, SSIS SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, SSRS, Microstrategy,
Talend
Desirable Experience (not required):
Soft Skills/Experience
* Payment processing, financial services, or professional services
experience strongly preferred
* 3+ yrs experience in an 'up-or-out' type of organization
* Experience collaborating across multiple locations or off-shore
Tech Skills/Experience
* Experience troubleshooting data infrastructure items such as network,
storage, MPP devices, etc,
* Hadoop, Amazon Web Services, VMWare, SAS, SPSS, R
* Experience developing in both OLTP and Analytic data environments
* Expert knowledge of SQL and relational database systems, preferably
within a web applications environment
* Strong understanding of performance and scalability considerations
when building applications
* Conceptual understanding of object oriented programming and
application development languages such as Java, C#, and .Net
