Job description:
Ø We are looking for a senior hands-on technologist who is passionate about technology, Fixed Income data and data integration development to create best in class enterprise level solutions.
Ø All team members are part of a rotating support structure to handle front-end and data question which the Production Services team does not have knowledge to address.
Ø Approximately 10-20% of time is spent on support, audit and other continuous improvement type of tasks.
Responsibilities:
Ø Must have proven track record in successfully building, releasing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems in a complex technology environment preferably within a major Global Asset Manager or Investment Banking Group
Ø Experience working in an agile environment with your SCRUM team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries
Ø Analytical and questioning mind. Able to challenge the status quo on a large scale and suggest viable alternative approaches.
Ø Excellent communication skills for cross group collaboration, be able to Client solutions to problems and objectively defend them, and propose design alternatives and articulate pros and cons.
Ø High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
Required Skills:
Ø 3+ years of development experience in .NET using C#, with experience in C# 4.0/4.5 being highly desirable
Ø Strong Relational Database Knowledge (SQL, PL/SQL skills Basic Knowledge in MS-SQL Server 2008 DB)
Ø Working knowledge of DB concepts such as tables, indexes, locks and views
Ø Experience working with large databases and high-volume batch data loading operations
Ø 5+ years of experience in development for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL- related activities
Ø Fixed Income/Financial Services Background
Ø Experience in design, requirements gathering, documentation, and testing of large-scale processes that ingest and extract data from warehouse and transactional database system
Ø Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM, XP, Kanban) environment/team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries
Ø A four year Bachelors Degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred or commensurate relevant work experience
Preferred Skills:
Ø SCRUM Master certification
Ø Experience with Fixed Income applications and/or trade order management systems being highly desirable
Ø Test Driven Development (TDD) using NUnit or equivalent
Ø Multi threading, parallel programming
Ø SubVersion/TortoiseSVN/Ankh
Ø Messaging (TIBCO or MQ)
Ø Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
