Position	Performance Engineer
Duration	1 year +
Location	Downtown Minneapolis
Submittal Deadline	ASAP
Date	5/13/13

 

 

•           Responsible for performance validation of the client side (Javascript, CSS, etc.) for application releases for Target.com. Identify performance bottlenecks, suggest changes, and ensure the changes are implemented.

•           Candidate will need to work with monitoring vendors, onsite and offshore developers. Also will need to work closely with offshore client side performance engineer to ensure smooth transition of activities between locations

•           Partner with site developers to ensure timely implementation of performance defects/enhancements

•           Defining and implementing performance best practice changes for client side development

•           3-4 years of experience with Javascript development and performance tuning in an ecommerce setting

We expect to have this role through the rest of 2013 and possibly into 2014.

 

Tools: DynaTrace, Ajax, Gomez, YSlow, or other Java debuggers.
