Skillset: .NET framework 3.5/4.0, C#, MVC, C++, SQL, JavaScript, Agile Techniques

Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Software Developer are to develop and deliver complex web applications for internal and external use, utilizing innovative and creative approaches to software development and implementation. This position requires well-rounded knowledge and experience in IT/Software Development and strong knowledge of one or more technologies such as .NET, SQL, and Agile/Scrum development.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

CONSUMER PRODUCT EXPERIENCE IS GREAT TO HAVE

Systems / Software Engineer

•            Assist the Solution Architect to build the architecture design of a software/application system.

•            High & Low Level Design for parts of a software/application system that may cover the knowledge of presentation, business and persistence logic

•            Coding designs

•            Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software/firmware for operating systems

•            Expert technical subject matter and customer workflow knowledge

•            Works on complex projects and solutions requiring analysis and in-depth evaluation of multiple factors

•            Leads the investigation & resolution of complex systems/software problems

•            Development & improvement of existing systems/software technologies, including methods, approaches & execution

•            Leading others in development teams

•            Strong understanding of Object Oriented design and MVC concepts 

•            Strong understanding of multi-threaded application development

•            Deep experience in a Windows environment (Win 7 or 8) and fluent in JavaScript, C# and/or C++, SQL , .Net

•            Thorough knowledge of design patterns, usability principles and best practices is required.

•            Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance

•            BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

•            Ability to independently find and solve problems

 

Responsibilities:

•            Do everything possible to delight our customers 

•            Develop software for complex first generation products and platforms that includes solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration

•            Work with cross functional teams as needed to deliver a high quality solution

•            Keep abreast of new technologies and factor the thinking into the development to ensure applicability and extensibility of the solutions being built

•            Deliver solid, bug-free high performance code

•            Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance, daily and active collaboration with QA

•            Embrace the agile development model adopted by the group

•            Contribute to building a trusted and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving

  

Not required but considered as a plus:

• Knowledge of Agile approaches such as XP
• Experience with Agile techniques such as ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Pairing
