Any Local BA's with strong ERP and specifically Lawson?
Location: St Paul MN
Duration: 6+ months
Description: Client Manager is looking for up to 4 Senior level Business Analysts. The City of St Paul is implementing Lawson Software (ERP) and they do not have enough internal resources to clearly pull and gather detailed requirements.
They are not looking for SME BA's, nor are they looking for BA's that have little interaction with end users.
Experience Qualifications
- VERY experienced at eliciting and documenting business requirements
- General Financial or Human Resource system experience
- Government Experience
- Any ERP Experience (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.)
- Lawson Specific Experience
Comet Team Analyst (aka Business Analyst)
• Works with various levels of organization
• Elicits true business requirements
• Documents requirements based on business needs
• Makes recommendations based on ERP and business exposure
• Analyzes and understands business problems
• Identifies and then documents stated requirements
• Acts as liaison with Quality Assurance groups
• Acts as liaison with the Systems and Application Analyst to help determine constraints.
• Uses various tools to document and define needs and requirements
• Provides independent department analysis, while maintaining a broad vision of the enterprise ERP solution
• Has the ability to distinguish requests from needs
• Owns a significant portion of the B.R.D.
• Contributes to training materials and user manuals
They want strong BA's that can gather requirements – clearly articulate what the business wants, and loves to document. They do have a "Req Pro" like tool that they are using. 5+ years of experience, Certified BA's are preferred – but not required.
