Test Analyst

Position Description:

Develop and implement the assigned test activities and deliverables defined in the Overall Test Approach for the IT Application Project.

 

 

Background: (Description of role, responsibilities, and type of deliverables within the project or group)

Responsibilities Deliverables:  Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, Common Test Data, and Defect Reports. Responsible for creating the Test Scenarios/Scripts/Cases for the applications and on-going projects in Quality Center. Responsible for tracing project requirements to the applicable test cases in Quality Center. Responsible for Product Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and Deployment Verification Testing. Provides support for Business Line in User Acceptance Testing including test case selection, creation and modification to support test execution by the Business team. Reports status and metrics to the Test Lead and QA Lead. Executes Test Cases for assigned areas/projects. Defines and documents test cases using predefined guidelines and test standards. Plans and executes both manual and automated tests. Tracks test execution and verification of test cases. Logs defects, tracks corrective action of defects in Quality Center. Works with Automation Team to prepare test cases and tests data for automation. Follows Test Standards. Testers are accountable to the Test Lead and Project Manager.   Requirements: ·          4 year BS preferably in Comp Science or Information Technology ·          3+ years experience in testing large enterprise applications ·          3+ years testing experience including test case design and execution ·          Strong problem solving abilities - both analytical and logical ·          Strong time management skills - prioritize and organize ·          Ability to work without direct supervision ·          Effective communication skills ·          1 year hands on experience using Quality Center ·          Must have Experience in SQL, VBA/VBScript, other scripting languages ·          Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
