Oracle Transportation Management Architect

3 Month Contract

HItachi's client is looking for a contractor in Troy, OH that will be responsible for identifying and documenting business process improvements in carrier management, order management, optimization & planning (setting up OTM Bulk Planner), shipment execution and freight settlements, especially auto - pay configuration.

Qualifying Questions (Mandatory):

Have you (not your team, and not depending on anyone else)  configured, tested and put into Production the OTM planning parameters and the OTM bulk planner functionality for TL and LTL modes for three or more implementations?

Have you (not your team, and not depending on anyone else)  configured, tested and put into Production the OTM "continuous move"  functionality for TL for one or more implementations? 

Have you (not your team, and not depending on anyone else)  configured, tested and put into Production the "auto-pay" functionality for TL for three or more implementations?

Have you (not your team, and not depending on anyone else, except DBA's) planned, tested, and migrated a revised OTM configuration from DEV to PROD for one or more implementations? 

•    6+ years' experience in a logistics operations management and/or management consulting in transportation management systems, plus:
•    6+ years of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) configuration experience (rates, itineraries, planning parameters, event management, settlements; plus agents, SQL, and integration, etc.). TL and LTL required, private fleet management  experience a plus.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
•    Bachelor's degree

Deliverables:

•    Identifying and documenting business process improvements in carrier management, order management, optimization & planning (setting up OTM Bulk Planner), shipment execution and freight settlements, especially auto-pay configuration
•    Facilitating client sessions for requirements definition and process and system design
•    Configuring OTM with carriers, buy and sell rates, calendars, geographies, itineraries, etc.
•    Developing custom agents
•    Writing custom SQL queries to meet client requirements
•    Developing implementation documentation and training materials
•    Migrating configured DEV instance to PROD
•    Helping clients to adapt best business processes, as enabled by OTM, and working closely with clients and internal project teams to achieve implementation goals and ROI
