The ideal candidate:

·         Is self-directed and shared collective ownership for design decision

·         Uses the best tools for the job, be those open source or otherwise

·         Comfortable in a pair programming environment

·         Strong favors TDD and BDD development methodologies

·         Up to date with current tools and techniques

·         Comfortable working in an agile environment

·         Comfortable working in an Apple MacBook development environment

Responsibilities:

·         Developing

·         Working in Paired Programming Environment

·         Unit testing

·         Quality Assurance of unit testing

·         Deployments

·         Work with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef and Vagrant

·         Work with client/server models and queuing technologies (rabbitmq, redis, etc)

·         Collaboratively working with, reporting to, and taking direction from current Ruby Developer

·         Status update meetings

Must Have Skills:

·         5 + Years Ruby Developer Experience

·         Experience working with Third Party API's

·         Experience with Design Patterns

·         Client Server Communication

·         Object Oriented Programming

·         Continuous Integration

·         Experience Queuing Technologies

·         Deployment Automation

·         PURE Ruby experience - Experience with Gem

·         OpenStack – Bonus

·         AWS , or other Cloud Providers - Bonus
