Length 6 months+

Job Description:

The .NET Software Developers will participate as part of a team to maintain and make modifications of custom software applications that meet the State of Tennessee/Department of Health's objectives and assists other developers in support of application delivery.  The .NET Programmers will also work on several applications as a member of cross functional teams to support ongoing projects.  The .NET Programmers must have the ability to complete all phases of the SDLC lifecycle including analysis, design, development, and support.  They should also have the education/experience as outlined below for the following: Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET framework, ASP.NET, C#, visual basic .net, stored procedures using SQL, and MS SQL Server.

Description of Duties:

-Support and maintain the current production .net applications in an Enterprise Environment.  Software development experience with public facing websites.  Designs, modifies, develpoes, writes complete and functional code from scratch using C#, asp.net, MS Visual Studio Version 2008 or higher or other like languages.  Team Leadership Skills.  Supports and installs web applications and infrastructure.  Writing database applications using C#, asp.net or other like languagest.  Uses TFS as the development life cycle tool.

-Codes database scripts and stored procedures in order to retrieve and manipulate specific data based on required business processes.

-Participate in cross-development projects with other developers, internal and/or external, and provide subject matter expertise with regard to development efforts.  Recommends changes or enhancements to existing applications or processes which improve the quality of services provided to customers
