Duration:       6+ months

Location:       5701 Katella Avenue , Cypress, CA

Job Responsibilities: 

           

 
This position will be part of the Java Center of Excellent team to support the many projects scheduled for 2014 under Optum Rx

This person will be part of the Portal & Services Applications team - eHP Portal - Core Application with about 12 or so team members.  This role will report to the Manager of Application Development.

top 5-10 responsibilities for this position

• Work with software development professionals building portal applications in the J2EE/Portal environment
• Building and managing relationships with business team to understand their goals
• Proposing technology solutions to enable the business to meet/exceed those goals
• Engaging in application architecture and design decisions
• Delivering a robust self-service environment for the end user community
• Implementing/maintaining a repeatable iterative software development methodology
• Managing SDLC processes and associated artifacts
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with SDLC processes
• Communicating with stakeholders and management team on a regular basis in a concise manner
•Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions. Ability to solve complex production issues

software tools/skills needed to perform these daily responsibilities
•Experience delivering web-based technology solutions to meet business needs
•Experience with Java, Spring, J2EE, Apache, Spring, Maven, JavaScript

Requires
•5+ years of application development experience, including application architecture and design
•Experience with WSDL, SOAP, Webservices, XML Schemas, JDBC
•Experience with WebSphere, Hibernate, JQuery, JMS, JSP, Maven, CQ5, HTML
•Bachelors Degree is required

Java certified is preferred
