Job Title: Web Focus//Murex Consultant
Location: Enfield, CT
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
The Murex Production Support Contractor will be responsible for daytime execution of a Derivative Accounting Application System. Responsibilities include batch monitoring, break/fix, ODS support, complex report trouble-shooting and/or error correction. They will work with other Production Support team members, downstream application support teams and the Business Partners in Derivatives Accounting / Trade Operations for assessment and resolution of daily production problems, support requests, report modifications, monthly/quarterly/year-end processing and communicate with and hand-off to an overnight offshore team at end of day.
Role Skill Set:
Primary Skills
- 3-5 years strong Web FOCUS experience, preferably in Finance or Investment Systems
- Data warehouse, ETL, Oracle and SQL experience
- Ability to communicate and assist in recommending solutions for technical and business problems
- Good communication and mentoring skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in COGNOS
- Experience with Informatica Power Center 9.1 or later
- Knowledge of standards and best practices on Informatica, SQL, Oracle
- UNIX Shell Scripting experience
- Ability to perform on-call support including nights and weekends
- Derivatives or Investment knowledge a plus
- Murex application system experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer or business related field
