UI Developer
12 months Contract
Broomfield CO
Pay up to $55/hr
User Interface (UI)/Web Developer will be part of a software team focused on working closely with stakeholders to produce user friendly and highly functional web interfaces that present task, workflow and order data. This position will be required to apply sound solutions framed within the context of enterprise software principles in support of a wide variety of corporate functions and products. Candidate will be responsible for solving a wide array of workflow related business problems through skills described below. Under general supervision, this developer will be responsible for the development, unit testing, and deployment of UI solutions and enhancement implementations as specified by business requirements. Additionally, the developer may be requested to assist in problem investigation, analysis, and resolution of newly identified defects in existing systems. The individual should be a fast learner and self trainer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced experience level with EXT JS, Javascript and web technologies such as XHTML, AJAX, JSON, CSS, REST and web services, other Javascript frameworks such as JQuery, YUI or Prototype.
• Experience developing ASP.NET/C# solutions
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field is required
• Practices simplified, standards-compliant, CSS-driven web mark-up
• Strong knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Strong understanding and experience in Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
• Experience in Test Driven Development
• Experience in creation and execution of automated test suites using NUnit, MSTest, PEX and Selenium
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft's Enterprise Library
• Experience with web services using WCF
• Demonstrated strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to continually-changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes and work on fast-paced, complex projects
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing schedule and communicating progress
• Experience with office automation tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Word), analysis modeling tools (e.g. Visio, ERwin, Rose, UML), and data analysis tools (e.g. TOAD, DBVisualizer)
• Proven ability to work in a team setting
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS: • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or a related discipline • Experience with telecommunications domain and broad knowledge of concepts, systems, and equipment used in modern telecommunications networks • 5+ years experience in medium to large application development initiatives/projects • Experience with Tibco Enterprise Service Bus a plus • Proven experience developing and delivering software in corporate contexts • SQL experience a plus (SQL Server & Oracle) • Experience with Savvion's Business Process Management (BPM) suite of products (Modeler, Studio, Server) a plus • Ability to provide leadership to project team ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Collaborates and assists development team in designing and implementing UI enhancements • Utilize software requirements and software design artifacts to implement solutions • Works with development teams and systems analysts on code solutions to meet the requested functionality • Ability to deliver amidst complexity and change • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to initiate action • Design, build, and deploy UI application features in a SOA context • Maintenance of production applications and environments • Solving business problems through creative and forward-looking solution delivery • May provide project management tracking and issues resolution support for assigned projects • Assists with the creation and/or validation of End to End test scenarios and assists with User Acceptance Testing scenarios • May provide direction and mentoring to less experienced team members
