Mayo Clinic Global Business Solutions has an opening for an application administrator to augment its application administration team, GBS Tool Support. The GBS Tool Support team focuses on providing a high level of administration and support to Mayo Clinic Global Business Solutions for Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Project Server 2010, Team Foundation Server 2010, and Google Search Appliances.
Candidate will be responsible for supporting GBS implementation of SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Project Server, and GBS Google Search Appliances. Daily tasks include: responding to user support requests, contributing to the design and implementation of system automation and reporting, integrating and testing 3rd-party solutions, implementing and testing support tools, gathering requirements from GBS end-users, assisting users with access issues, troubleshooting system issues, providing custom SharePoint solutions, establishing SharePoint best-practices and developing end-user training strategies. Candidate should have a working knowledge of application administration including report generation/creation, trouble shooting, and logging/auditing. This position will require participation in an on-call rotation. Excellent communication skills are required. Must possess problem solving skills and proven ability to quickly learn and acclimate to new technologies and changes in the work environment. Candidate must able to work independently, completing duties as assigned, and maintain compliance with Mayo Clinic and team established policies and standards.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of system design principles, software development methodologies, and computer programming.
• Ability to take responsibility and accountability for own activities.
• Possesses ability to multi-task and prioritize issues appropriately.
• Must possess human relations skills to interact with a variety of personnel.
• Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills.
• SharePoint 2010 experience is required.
• Project Server experience is required.
• Must have version/source control software experience with preference given to Team Foundation Server.
• Must have experience supporting SharePoint farms with greater than 100 users.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
• Professional, responsible, accountable, dependable and honest.
Other Qualifications:
• Experience working in healthcare technology.
• Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
• One year of experience with PowerShell scripting.
• SharePoint development experience.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, IIS, and Active Directory
• SQL Server development/connections/interactions.
• Strong networking skills. Builds relationships with others at all levels of responsibility
