[ASP_NET_jobs] Need Desktop Support in NJ

Role: Senior Desktop Support

Location: Newark, NJ

4 week project

 

 

We are currently conducting a search for an experienced Senior Desktop Consultant to assist our client in Newark, NJ. Responsible for the following:

•             Perform a technical assessment of the client's standard Windows 7 Build

•             Identify any potential application incompatibilities

•             Make recommendations based on industry leading practices

Responsibilities:

•             Self Starter, understand group dynamics and manage/prioritize workload accordingly

•             Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills

•             Ability to research and leverage online resources for problem resolution

•             Confidence to offer opinions, alternatives in a fast paced environment

•             Strong Interpersonal skills

•             Extremely detailed oriented with excellent documentation skills

 

Required Technical Experience:

•             5 or more years experience creating Windows image builds for enterprise desktops and laptops.

•             1-2 years experience with Windows 7 deployments

•             2-3 years consulting experience

•             Provided product support for Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer

•             Solid foundational knowledge of TCP/IP and server/desktop network configuration

•             Experience working with Microsoft product release process (Beta, RTM, Production)

•             Heavily experienced utilizing diagnostic system tools for debugging purposes.

•             Heavily experienced working with Group Policy Objects for configuration management

•             Experience with VMware Thinapp or Microsoft App-V is preferred

•             Experience reading trace tools results is desirable but not required
