MUST BE A PROJECT LEAD Job Title: .Net Solution Designer/Lead (Project Lead) Duration: Long Term (6+months to start with) Location: Philadelphia, PA Rate: doe Relevant Experience (Yrs): 10-12 years of experience in - BS in Computer Science/ Engineering, or equivalent work experience in design, development and implementation. - At least 10-12 years of experience - Should have extensive experience in design and architecture of websites/Portals and ability to lead large transformation projects with complex integration touch points based on SOA architecture MUST HAVE Technical/Functional Skills: - ASP.NET - C# , - VB.NET , - MS SQL 2008/2010 ( Table partionining, SSIS , SSRS) - VS 2008/2010 - TFS 2008 - MVC - WCF - Webservices ( Create and Consume Webservices ) - XML , Xpath, Xquery - Javascript NICE TO HAVE: - SSIS - Service broker Expertise, - XML , Xpath, Xquery, - Java script - UML This individual will work as part of a development team creating infrastructure Web Service applications as a part of Comcast's SOA/Web services platform. Major Duties: - Ensure quality completion of all content in assigned SAID and SR&D deliverables - Own the enhancement, development as well as production support activities for selected application areas - Lead outage scenarios and issue resolutions for the escalated business issues - Write unambiguous requirements with sufficient level of detail to create test cases from - Follow review and approval processes for SAID and SR&D - Obtain commitments to participated in requirement and design gathering sessions from impacted teams to complete project work – impacted teams include: Business, Development, Architecture, QA/SIT, Infrastructure and Operations teams - Provide accurate status in CET Tracker at least weekly to reflect deliverable completion status and verification of target dates - When target dates are going to be missed inform manager as soon as possible, and if SAID inform the Intake team so that impacted stakeholders can be appropriately informed - Document SR&D in DOORS with best intent to organize content appropriately within the DOORS architecture - Obtain approvals of deliverables from involved teams and stakeholders - Escalate key outstanding issues and risks to management to help facilitate quick resolution - Inform the team of processes, tools or other information that will help the team collectively deliver more accurate solutions and/or deliver solutions more quickly - Link SR&D content to DRs - Support Project Managers (when assigned) in providing SR&D completion information - Support Delivery teams after content is completed to help ensure alignment to solution defined - Reviewer and Approver of QA Test Plans, test scenarios and test cases. - Review and Approve End to End test cases - Clarify requirement questions during QA testing – enhancement versus defect - Analyze and approve any change requests for next phase - Support UAT questions & demo sessions - Participate in UAT/BAT testing before Production launch Generic Managerial Skills - Should have excellent communication and problem solving skills. - Must be a team player. Education BS/B.E. in Computer Science/ Engineering
