This is the position I am currently working on. It is a VB.Net with SSRS & SSIS Developer position located in Manhattan and will last over a year. I am looking for .Net Developers who have strong VB.Net experience as well as SSRS & SSIS experience. SQL Server developers will not be a good fit for this position. VB.net with SSRS, SSIS
Manhattan role
Candidate must be able to work with a well established team to develop and support Con Edison's Gas Inspection System, the Gas Computer Dispatch Work Management System and Gas Reporting Systems. The assignment requires the candidate to have a strong technical background, the ability to perform application development as dictated by the internal software development lifecycle procedures, and to provide business user support and training.
Required skills are:
- Complex SQL queries, DTS and SSIS
- Visual Studio, TFS, JavaScript, and Visual Basic, Ajax
- XML, Active X controls
- SSRS, GUI Screen layout and designs
- Web design and development with IIS, ASP.Net and VB.Net
- Rational Quality Manager
Additional Skills (Skills that are a plus, but not required):
- Knowledge of the Natural Gas Industry terminology and concepts
- Knowledge and use of the Company's Gas inspection and Mobile Dispatch applications, Emergency Control System and Gas Reporting Systems
Assignment:
Contractor will be working on all aspects of the new GAS Data Warehouse Project which will develop new reports for new assets within Gas Ops. Candidate will also work on maintaining and enhancing existing work management applications in the same business area. The candidate will be expected to work independently and within a team to perform business analysis, technical analysis, project planning, system, application development and system documentation. The candidate will be required to prepare project demos, high level task estimates for new requests. The candidate is also required to provide Business User support and training, bug analysis, remediation and routine patch testing.
