TWS/z - Tivoli Workload Scheduler (Mainframe)

3 months+

Plymouth MN/Hartford CT/Trumbull CT/Green Bay WI/Cypress CA

*Must pass a drug test and background check once offered the position*

 

 

We are looking for a person experienced in TWS/z who has batch scheduling knowledge of all parts of the product.    We currently use the ISPF panels for scheduling batch jobs and object.   This person also must be familiar with JCL and TSO.

This person will be responsible for ensuring that all applications are planned, verified, approved, and meet IS Production Standards (they are transitioned smoothly and integrated properly into production) As well as batch scheduling using TWS/z (Tivoli Workload Scheduler), abend resolution and root cause analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Prepares work schedules, controls workflow, provide technical guidance and operational assistance to the staff, and coordinates all aspects of Production Services Support performance.
•Ensures that Production Services Support and Operations has the proper system documentation and training.
•Escalates, documents and controls Production Services Support related problems.
•Recommends appropriate process improvements for staff training, batch processes, problem detection and management, quality controls, change control and scheduling.
•Responsible for batch scheduling in Mainframe environment as well as the End to End side of TWS/z.   
•Guide application teams through established processes to maintain Production Control standards.
•Interpret business requirements and engage business IT customers with implementation of Production Control best practices, batch lifecycle standards, and schedule deployment processes.
•Create and maintain process documentation and standards.
•Investigate root cause analysis of batch scheduling dependencies across disparate groups.

 

Work Location:
Plymouth MN is preferred, but Hartford CT, Trumbull CT,  Greenbay WI,  Cypress CA are also options.
