Data Architect/ SQL Server Architect
Location: Rockville MD
Duration: Long Term


Note: Interviews are ongoing

 Experience with developing databases using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008 tool suite (core database engine, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQLServer Integration Services)
Familiarity with the concepts of master data management, data warehousing, and data integration (ETL) techniques
Experience with data/information architecture modeling techniques including conceptual, logical and physical data/information model design
Ability to articulate the difference between common data/information architecture patterns and the advantages and disadvantages of each, and apply each appropriately
Passionate about building and delivering products with a focus on quality driven development and process improvement
experience in leading and performing business analysis with an emphasis in data management, including data architecture, enterprise modeling, conceptual and logical data base design, process models, relational physical database design, data dictionary, repository, CASE technology, client/server, process re engineering, UML/domain object-oriented models, data warehousing methodologies and dimensional modeling.
Develop dimensional models and create Model Manager environment/standards
Represent Enterprise Architecture, act as liaison between Data and Enterprise Architecture Groups. Analyzed & recommend enterprise solutions
Responsible for data strategic planning. Manage, prioritize, approve all data-related work including data architecture, logical/physical design/implementation, and data movement – ETL (extract, transfer, & load). Develop enterprise-wide data architecture/framework and implementation plan. Manage & review Data Architects' performance. Develop data governance, master data programs, data standards, procedures and practices. Responsible for metadata & data quality. All development performed using Microsoft tools for low-cost implementation
