* 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience with Oracle 11g / 10g / 9i experience

* Strong experience of supporting both Dev and Prod databases
* Experience of PLSQL and Unix Shell scripting or another scripting/automation tool like Perl is a plus
* Experience with database design, implementation, performance tuning, DR, standby, etc
* Experience with Unix/Linux and NetApp

* Database design and implementation experience

* Experience with performance monitoring and tuning using statspack and database management tools

* Bachelors degree from a 4 year college or university

* Experience in Insurance industry is a plus
