Position Description:

Seeking Sr. Database developer with experience supporting application development teams.

•Writes code for database access, modifications, and constructions including schemas, SSIS and stored procedures
•Responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting SQL applications and supporting Java and .NET developers
• Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process.
•Gathers and analyzes requirements
•Programs all or selected components of SQL applications. Documents components and applications.
•Researches, evaluates and recommends new tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities
•Independently writes and reviews design specifications, code, and unit tests
•Troubleshoots and resolves medium to high complexity application defects
•Solves a range of problems
•Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
•Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
•MS SQL Server 2005 / 2008
•Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent attention to detail.
•Excellent organizational skill
•Health insurance background is desired
•Self-motivated team player

Skills Required:

 

MS SQL 2005 Certified. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 5 years of related work experience.
Required - Microsoft SQL server application development.
Required – Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL server administration.
Expert SQL developer experience.
SQL programming,
Writing stored procedures,
Understanding existing data models
Creating new data models or additions
Writing SSIS,
Expert level knowledge in SQL programming.

Proven problem solving and debugging skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical ability.
