.Net Developer

 

Candidate must be skilled in:

 

Required Skills:

 

• MS DotNet Studio
• VB.Net
• SqlServer2008
• VB6
• SSIS, SSRS
• At least 10 years of experience in VB.NET and Microsoft SQL Server (SQL 6.5 to SQL 2008R2) development and administration
• They must possess at least 6 yrs of experience in Relational database designing using ERWin, MS Visio, or Enterprise Architect tools
• Candidate must have at least 3 years experience designing, developing and troubleshooting applications that poll and monitor remote Steam equipment.
• Must possess excellent knowledge of work management systems used to schedule and track work remotely
• Candidate must have in-depth skills in system architecture, system development, and database development
• Exceptional inter-personal, oral and written communication, problem-solving, and technical flexibility skills are a must. Absolute integrity, in everything he or she undertakes, must be demonstrated at all times
• Must have experience in working with communication architecture and devices
• Must be able to multi-task and role-change between new development, problem-solving emergency issues, and changing priority day-to-day tasks

 

Additional Skills: (Skills that are a plus, but not required)

 

• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS a plus

 

Assignment:

 

This individual will be responsible for on-going technical support and enhancements on the Remote Metering, Meter Calibration, Remote Trap Monitoring, and Inside Customer Premises Job Tracking Applications. The functions within these applications range from real-time remote customer data collection and management, remote meter configuration, and Steam metering calibration to Work Tracking tasks. The applications are complex; some in VB6 with major portions currently being re-developed in VB.net.

The systems associated with this assignment are very critical. If there is an emergency situation (blackout, company disaster, etc) the person working in this assignment must be willing to work extended hours. The candidate must be willing to learn and understand the users' business. The candidate will primarily work at the headquarters location - 4 Irving Place, New York, and may also be expected to meet with business users or work at different work locations in Manhattan occasionally.
