Here are the requirement details

I have a client in Ann Arbor who is looking for an XSLT Developer for a 6 month contract.  Rates are not great, but thought I would see if you might have anyone.

 

Here are some details.

 

Primary duties include:

• Develop and maintain code utilizing XSLT, (X)HTML, CSS, and JSP.
• Develop well-structured, semantic code that meets web accessibility standards.
• Develop for cross-browser compatibility.
• Develop reusable code libraries.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Develop and maintain documentation regarding coding practices and interface design.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the User Experience Team to design and implement solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with software developers to ensure compliance with web standards and best practices.
• Work in a collaborative, agile environment with Software Developers, User Experience, Quality Assurance, and Product Management.
• Research and recommend methodologies, standards and best practices for XSL.

Required skills and experience:

• Five years experience in software development with XML and XSLT
• High level of proficiency hand-coding (X)HTML and CSS.
• Solid understanding of web standards, progressive enhancement, and accessible coding practices, WCAG 2.0.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions.
• Understanding of usability concepts and information architecture principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and translate concepts appropriate to the audience.
• Basic experience with Java.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience designing web interfaces and creating relevant graphics.
• Experience with image editing software such as Photoshop
• Experience with Javascript, particularly jQuery
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with NLM DTDs.
• Working knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies.
• Working knowledge of content management systems.
• Working knowledge of version control and configuration management systems.
• Working knowledge of Unix-based systems and ability to work on the command line when required.
• A Bachelors degree in information or computer science or equivalent experience.
