 Seeking a Big Data Engineer with Hadoop experience to act as a key resource in building out our Consumer Data Foundation in Hadoop, enabling new insights to our Marketing division.

In this role, you will:

• Develop Hadoop solutions in a collaborative, team environment while maintaining individual accountability
• Implement sustainable tools & processes to support our marketing division
• Mentor and share Hadoop expertise with the development team
• Generate and implement your own ideas on how to improve the operational and strategic health of our big data ecosystem

Minimum qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on experience with the following technologies in the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, Scala, Python, Kafka, Sqoop, Bash)
• 3 years SQL-based database experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective analytical and technical skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with StreamSets
• Familiarity with the Linux operating system
• Experience with agile techniques/methods
