Here are the requirement details
Seeking a Big Data Engineer with Hadoop experience to act as a key resource in building out our Consumer Data Foundation in Hadoop, enabling new insights to our Marketing division.
In this role, you will:
- Develop Hadoop solutions in a collaborative, team environment while maintaining individual accountability
- Implement sustainable tools & processes to support our marketing division
- Mentor and share Hadoop expertise with the development team
- Generate and implement your own ideas on how to improve the operational and strategic health of our big data ecosystem
Minimum qualifications
- 2 years of hands-on experience with the following technologies in the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, Scala, Python, Kafka, Sqoop, Bash)
- 3 years SQL-based database experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective analytical and technical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with StreamSets
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system
- Experience with agile techniques/methods
