Role: Data Architect

 

Location: Chester VA

 

Duration: 12 Months+

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Extensive experience with Data Modeling and Database Design

·         Extensive experience mapping data and building out data integrations between disparate database systems

·         Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine the source and resolution of errors

·         Ability for an end-to-end vision (see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive stages involved for presentation to an end-user)

·         Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or  ERDs)

·         Experience with ETL tools

·         Experience with integration between COTS package databases and relational databases

·         Data Validation, Cleansing, Mapping, Extraction and Migration

·         SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)

·         Create and manage Data Dictionaries

·         5+ years of normalized Data Modeling and Database Design (dimensional modeling a plus)

·         5+ years of experience in data-centric positions or roles

·         3+ years of data management experience  is a plus

·         3+ years of SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)

·         Hands-on experience with ETL Tools is a plus

·         Public Sector background/experience is a plus.
