Job Title: Sr. SQL DBA
Location: Bellevue, WA
Duration: 1 Year
SHORT DESCRIPTION
Candidate will be responsible for all phases of database administration on our production environment, with emphasis on performance troubleshooting, database tuning, analytical problem solving and business customer support
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
5-7 years of DBA experience with 3+ years' experience working in a high transaction, 24x7 Microsoft SQL eCommerce database environments
Provide Database Administrator support in a growing and challenging OLTP eCommerce database environment
SCOPE: Provide support for both MSSQL and NoSQL database platforms.

Windows 2008/12 clustering
MongoDB/Cassandra
MySQL
MS SQL 2008/12/14 and 16

OVERVIEW
Administer the largest and/or most complex systems
Works on all phases of systems administration including, definition, design, implementation, and testing
Identify and solve complex systems administration problems
Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and objectives
Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools
Establish and maintain security and integrity controls
Formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management Propose and implement enhancements to improve the performance and reliability of the system Mentor others as necessary
Contribute to and/or lead tactical planning, building annual business plans, and writing documentation, following procedures, and supporting other team members as assigned
RESPONSIBILITIES
Thorough understanding of database mirroring and transaction log shipping
Expertise in database server specification, performance tuning, analysis and optimization
Experience in a 24x7, high traffic OLTP environment
Strong Experience in database disaster recovery planning and recovery
Demonstrated ability to solve complex database administration problems
Extensive experience with database transnational replication
Extensive experience with Windows 2008/12 clustering
Experience in administrating/configuring databases in a Windows 2008 clustered environment
Ability to work with database developers and engineers to analyze and resolve database performance issues
Experience/Competency in performing Linux Administration tasks
Experience with MySQL, Cassandra and/or MongoDB desired
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Thorough understanding of database performance monitoring and analysis tools
Thorough understanding of RDBMS system and architecture with emphasis on MS SQL 2008/12/14 and 16
Thorough understanding of Windows 2008R2 and 2012R2 Servers and Microsoft Clustering and AG technologies
Working Knowledge of NoSQL Platforms such as MongoDB/Cassandra
EDUCATION
BS/MS-Computer or relevant engineering discipline strongly desired
