Oracle PL/SQL- Intermediate 

5 months

 

**Drug screen and background check required upon offer

 

This position calls for a "Professional Work Day/Week" with the rates reflecting a daily or weekly rate. It is expected resources will need to work 45-50 hours each week. A resource must work a minimum of 8 hours per day/40 hours per week in order to bill for the daily/weekly rate. If the resource works less than 8 Hrs per day or 40 Hrs per week, the resource must submit a timecard reflecting the pro-rated time (i.e. 4 hours = .5 day or 32 hours = .8 week). If using a daily rate, hours over 8 in one day would not be billable (the maximum daily timecard = 1 day). However; upon prior approval, work performed on weekends may be billable. If using a weekly rate, hours over 40 will not be billable (the maximum weekly timecard = 1 week)

Responsible for developing program specifications/detail design documents. Codes, tests and debugs applications programs. Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of business systems. Has participated in the application design of systems, including use of analytical techniques; Develops prototypes from functional specifications; Designs application sub-systems and small systems; Has participated in the development of functional specifications; Assists users in testing, training, and preparation for operations. 3-5 yrs. of prior developer/programmer experience is required..

 

 

• Design and develop Oracle PL/SQL for selection of data for reports and extracts from an existing implementation of GoldenSource Data Warehouse and a companion Data Mart.

• Collaborate with a team including business analysts, ETL developers and report developers

• Participate in testing and issue resolution to validate functionality and performance

• Develop implementation instructions and coordinate / confirm installation in each environment

• 5 years experience developing solutions using Oracle

• Intermediate level experience writing SQL, PL/SQL, packages, procedure, functions – including tuning for performance

• Relevant experience using Oracle 11g features on prior projects

• Prior experience with GoldenSource Data Warehouse desired, but not required

• Hands-on experience with Unix, Linux scripting
