Job Description

I have the following opening in Atlanta.  Candidates MUST be available to be in Atlanta for a face-to-face interview.  The interview process is a 30 minute phone screen and then a face-to-face interview onsite with the hiring manager and a team lead.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Open ended contract opportunity - 70% Front-end Development

Located in Downtown Atlanta.

Must have: HTML/CSS, JQuery, parsing JSON, Agile Methodology, good verbal communication, Linux OS, Java, JSP or PHP, templating.

Experience with FreeMarker or JSTL is a HUGE plus.

This is a largely front-end java developer opportunity.  Some coding experience is required.  MUST have experience consuming web services. Writing web services is a HUGE plus.

Required Qualifications: -

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree 5-7 of previous experience in Web Development - Must have expert knowledge of all user-facing web standards including HTML/XHTML, CSS, and mobile web - 5-7 years experience in server side web programming languages such as Java, Servlets/JSP, C++ - Experience with Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby - Scripting language experience (FreeMarker, JSTL) and use of Flash and ActionScript - Fluency in use of JQuery - Knowledge of XML and XSLT - Experience with using and developing web services (REST, SOAP) - Strong Linux knowledge including shell scripting, reg ex, basic sys admin knowledge, vi editor - Familiarity with agile development methodologies - Experienced leading and working with an interdisciplinary team - Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - Strong teamwork and collaborative skills. Desired Qualifications: - Large-scale system software development experience - Mobile Web - Enterprising Experience with Real-time news systems or Digital properties is preferred.
