IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst

6+ Month Contract

 

ROLE SUMMARY & REQUIREMENTS:

The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst is responsible for participating in the support of the processes, tools, and methodologies to drive consistent Medtronic IT Software Asset Management (SAM) and governance excellence. This includes the management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing.

Specific responsibilities may include:
Respond to requests from business customers, end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
Collect software asset information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to business customers, end users, management, developers, and vendors as necessary to support SAM activity.
Enter and maintain information in a software asset tools to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.
Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
Facilitate the needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with business customers and vendors to obtain identified savings
