Assignment Name:  Deployment Engineer

Work Location:  Brooklyn, NY 11201

Scheduled Work Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (including 1 hour for lunch), 35 work hours per week 

Projected Start Date – December 27, 2016

Total Estimated Assignment Hours: 700 hours (Expected to go long term)

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

 

•             Implement changes in Portal architecture environment following Client standard;

•             Manage production and non-production environments for Java, .NET and SharePoint applications;

•             Implement break fixes and application enhancements in the production and non-production environments;

•             Coordinate deployments to different environments;

•             Coordinate execution of testing following software migration & installations; \Ensure deliverables from development teams have proper information for deployment;

•             Work with development team to ensure application code matches server software stacks and specifications;

•             Provide technical management assistance to development and QA teams;

•             Prepare technical reports for executive management;

 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE : 

•             At least 8 years of experience in a specialized role that includes implementation, support, and maintenance of large scale n-tier web applications;

•             Proven background in the development and deployment of complex operational systems;

•             Experience in deploying web applications and it's components in multiple regions;

•             Familiarity with any version-control tool like ClearCase, CVS or Subversion; 

•             Knowledge of XML, XSL and other internet technologies; 

•             Basic BEA Weblogic 8.1, 9.2,11g and 12g Administration Skills; 

•             Strong experience in development, trouble-shooting and supporting SharePoint and .NET web-based applications using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and/or 2010 skills integrated with SQL server reporting services (SSRS)

•             Strong knowledge of server and application architectures;

•             Strong automated deployment tools (ANT, JIRA); 

•             Must be able to work in cross functional teams to provide the best solution; 

•             Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines; 

•             Ability to effectively interface with technologists, business owners, and end-users;  

•             Demonstrate coordination; organization, creativity, flexibility, and strong analytical skills;

•             Strong communication skills; both written and verbal;

•             Strong customer and quality-focus is required 

•             Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills required.

•             Should be a team player; not an individual contributor. Should be self-starter and self-motivated. Flexibility to work overtime as required (may need to be on call to support a 24x7x365 technical operation).
