Position: Senior Product Manager for Order Center (for retail Ecommerce platform)
Duration: 3+months to start (potential contract to hire)

BridgePoint Consulting is seeking a talented and tenured Sr. Product Manager w/ Retail Ecommerce experience for a 3+ month contract to start (it will be extended on a quarterly basis). Our client who is in the Software Vertical market is seeking a Program Manager for their Order Management system. The Order Management system is a proprietary custom application suite for our clients online and Ecommerce ordering management system used by their clients when placing and managing orders. Ideally BPCI is seeking a Product Manager that has worked with other proprietary Order Management systems that have been customized internally. This is not an ERP Order Management application such as Oracle or SAP. Furthermore the resource needs to possess techno/functional capabilities and have hands-on technical experience. The clients environment is Java so that would be beneficial and this person will be assigned to the engineering team with a composition of 15 people. The resource selected will be engaging with other teams in an effort to oversee their Order Management system.
This is NOT a Project Manager role that would be responsible for managing personnel or doing project planning.
It is a Product Manager role to assist in the hands on over-seeing of the current Order Management system and be involved in making necessary changes, enhancements, debugging, and fixes.
Product strategy:
1. Manage and sequence prioritized backlog
2. Sprint Planning and Goals
3. Domain Expert/Product Champion
4. Requirements and Story point breakdown
5. Ensure technical direction is established and managed within the product line
6. Identify technical dependencies
7. Identify success criteria
Product Communication:
1. Present priority list to Product Line team
2. Communicate sprint planning
3. Articulate Product Vision to the team
4. Articulate Product Architecture, design, implementation and delivery
5. Internal and external visibility and tracking
6. Product/Functionality Demonstrations
7. Retrospective analysis
8. Escalation of irresolvable issues within product line, across product lines, team members and functional groups with the product line governance board
Product Readiness:
1. Team can show that release is ready to go - demonstrated, QA'd, meets success and testing criteria, build is complete and on a controlled environment
2. Release readiness approval
3. Release is complete and ready for product assessment auditing
4. Prepare, gather and approve technology enablement materials
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree, masters preferred
2. Minimum of 3 years domain expertise in the product line focus area.
3. Experience with agile development methodologies a plus (willingness to learn and be trained)
4. Experience with call center technologies or order management systems a must.
5. High energy and passion for the job
6. Leadership DNA, ability to excite and lead teams
7. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in business discussions.
8. On-demand/SaaS software product development is a strong plus.
9. Digital commerce product development is a strong plus
10. Proven ability to deliver on commitments.
11. Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
