Individuals within the Client Technologies Job Profile are primarily responsible for the delivery and support of IT products and services within an organization. In order to provide optimum services and solutions, Client Technologies staff partner with business clients to understand user needs and provide improvement to business processes, resolve problems, and technical solutions. They plan and deliver a diversity of IT services to internal and external end users. These individuals work with clients in a variety of settings, which may include providing direct desk side support, systems administration, and network administration, as well as providing phone or email support in diagnosing and resolving problems. In addition, these individuals may be responsible for procurement, telecommunications, off-the-shelf software application selection, configuration and implementation, and the configuring of Client standard personal computing devices peripheral and PBX devices. They may also perform a wide host of general management and administrative responsibilities, to include responding to needs for software deployment, information requests, opening and closing of offices, and provide training for their clients. Client Technology staff members support information security policies and initiatives by providing technical support in line with information security standards and requirements. Individuals in this job profile require an understanding of the business processes and foundation architecture. They require a strong customer focused orientation to ensure the delivery of a suite of integrated and diverse IT services.
