Mobile Developer

Role: Mobile Developer

Job Location: Webster, NY

Interview Preference: Telephonic / skype

Mandatory Skill: Extensive experience building mobile applications on EITHER Android OR IOS platforms.

Candidate will build prototype mobile Android OR IOS applications that invoke the on-board camera to capture and manipulate image and video data. The applications may be standalone or interacting with a cloud/server. Candidate will port state-of-the-art image processing algorithms developed by researchers in packages such as Matlab and OpenCV to a mobile platform. The candidate must be willing to work in a dynamic team environment.

Required skills/experience:

Extensive experience building mobile applications on both Android and IOS platforms
Familiarity with programmatic access and manipulation of the device's built-in camera and sensors is highly desirable.
A background in image and video processing is a plus.
Candidate must be adept at building mobile applications with user-friendly graphical interfaces.
Familiarity with client-server APIs such as SOAP/REST is highly desirable.
Versatility in Matlab and/or OpenCV is a plus.
Knowledge of real time imaging, including hardware assisted methods on mobile devices is a plus

Job Summary:
The WebSphere Application Server Administrator in the Enterprise Information Management group is responsible for the technical architecture, design and implementation of solutions utilizing the WebSphere and Information Server platforms.

Job Duties:
• Responsible for configuration and implementation WebSphere Application Server.
• Responsible for developing and implementing the required processes and methodologies for supporting an enterprise class Web Sphere and Information Server landscape.

• Understands underlying technologies adequately to discuss options with technical team, Application Specialists, Architects and developers.

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience using a full life cycle methodology for system development, including:

o Demonstrated WebSphere, Message Queue and Message Broker 6.1 and 7.0 installation, troubleshooting and administration experience
o Apache and IBM HTTP server installation, configuration and setup in relation to a load balanced environment and a WebSphere environment.
o Linux administration experience including; file systems, shell scripting, process management and application monitoring.
o Windows server administration experience including; file system, scripting, windows services, process management and application monitoring.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to translate between business-focused and technical-focused individuals.
