Candidate should have hands on experience in Hadoop data ingestion using ETL tools, specifically Informatica Big Data Edition and Hadoop transformations (using MapReduce, Spark, Blaze, Flume, Hive etc.)....
Deep exposure to Kerberized Hadoop ecosystem (including HDFS, Spark, Sqoop, Flume, Hive, Impala, PIG, MapReduce)
Informatica BDM(Big Data Management) architecture knowledge
Informatica Push Down techniques using Hadoop services/engines like Hive, Spark, Blaze etc. for both Mappings and Data Profiling.
Hands on Experience with Hive/Spark SQL and performance tuning
Hands on Experience with Teradata 14.0and performance tuning 
Hands on Experience working on Unix / Linux environment, as well as Windows environment
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python)

DBA /Database Administrator 

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: 3+Months

10+ Years minimum experience required

Summary:  

Responsible for design, development, implementation and management of the Client database environment.  

Position has primary responsibility for maintenance and development of the Client Enterprise data warehouse, with additional roles maintaining the overall control environment as it  relates to the data warehouse, insuring that the data container used for Client wide reporting is in accord with the original source of information

Major Responsibilities:
1. Experience with SQL Server 2012 and or 2016 including Integration Services and SQL scripting.
2. Develop Ad-hoc reports thru SQL Server Reporting Services.
3. Develop and execute extraction and load scripts (SSIS).
4. Develop/maintain automate reporting and client email delivery thru SSIS.
5. Write database procedures, function, and triggers.
6. Advanced knowledge of T-SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers).
7. Understanding of Web Services, Web/REST services, and JSON.
8. Experience standardizing on design and development processes across the entire data warehouse ETL framework.
9. Combine data from various sources for reporting, analysis, and support decision-making.
10. Lead projects in the design, development, implementation and management of databases.
11. Develop database architecture to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security performance and reliability.
12. Support and maintain SSIS packages.
13. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with: 

Database integrity
Performance
Block and deadlocking
Connectivity
Security
14. Establish and maintain proper database security in accordance with the principle of least permission (POLP)
15. Design database applications such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms and data partitions to enable efficient access of the MS SQL database structure.
16. Create plans form architecture updates and integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure to refine performance/functionality.
17. Collaborate/Partner in design and gathering of business needs for a BI/Analytics and Enterprise Data Mart and Warehouse strategies.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or similar degree required
  
• Must have experience of managing MS SQL, with exposure to SQL 2016 
  
• Installation and configuration of SQL Databases on Windows Server 2012 and above
  
• Experience in the Fiserv Premier environment is a plus 
  
• Additional database system experience such as DB2 is desirable
  
• Experience working with Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, Transformer and Analysis Studio is a plus
  
• Experience providing data and business intelligence support in financial services industry
  
• Experience supporting data warehouse with multiple disparate data source applications
  

Candidate must be able to demonstrate communication skills, both written and verbal as well as organizational skills. 

Candidates should have appropriate certifications in Microsoft specific to MS SQL Server Administration.
